Know, Like, Trust isn’t Enough to Boost Sales

Is the Know, Like, Trust Framework Enough to Boost Your Sales?

Many of us have been led to believe that the Know, Like, Trust framework is the secret sauce to increasing sales. After all, if your audience knows you, likes you, and trusts you, the sales should naturally follow, right? Well, not always.

I’ve seen so many beautiful, soul-centered businesses—just like yours—working so hard to build trust with their audience, only to feel frustrated when the sales don’t follow. As I mention in this episode, “They’ve got lots of people in their groups, lots of people on their email list. But the conversion rate of leads is lower than they would like.” Sound familiar? You’re not alone in this.

Why Relying on Know, Like, Trust Feels Safe but May Be Limiting Your Sales

It’s easy to understand why so many of us feel comfortable relying on Know, Like, Trust. It feels like a safe space—one that keeps us connected to our audience, showing up consistently in their lives. As I said in the episode,  “If I show up on socials, if I send an Email newsletter, then I’m just constantly front of mind… that is part of the process,”  And it is.

But the truth is, while this builds a relationship, it often leaves us stuck. We’re nurturing, but we’re not guiding our audience to the next step. If you’ve felt like you’re doing everything right but still not seeing conversions, it’s time to look deeper.

Know, Like, Trust Isn’t Enough for Sales

Here’s the shift we need to make: moving beyond Know, Like, Trust to a more holistic approach that guides your customers through their entire journey with you. Enter the Commitment Triangle—a framework that goes beyond trust and into action.

As I shared in the episode, “The Know, Like, Trust factor is just one small part of a bigger picture.” The Commitment Triangle leads your audience through three phases: Curiosity, Enlightenment, and finally Commitment. Without these key steps, you’re just gathering followers and fans, but not clients.
