010: The Power of a Clear CTA | Don’t Miss Out on Clients

CTAs That Convert: Rethinking the Role of CTAs in Authentic Sales

A Call to Action (CTA) is used to guide your customers to take a specific next step, like purchasing a product, signing up for a newsletter, or contacting you. It’s a crucial part of your marketing strategy, serving as the bridge between a customer’s interest and their commitment to your offer.

Do you have them on your website?  How about in your social posts?

CTAs act as the bridge between marketing and sales.  They help your clients move toward the inspired action you’ve been craving for them.  However, 70% of business websites in the US don’t have a clear CTA anywhere to be found.

You’ve spent all this time connecting with your customer and showing them what’s possible with your help.  What’s stopping you showing them how to take the first step?

What Makes a CTA Work

Buy Now!’ or ‘Book Now!’ might feel a bit pushy, right Selena? Let’s look at why clarity matters more than pressure.

If you just stood in the middle of the mall and shouted “hey buy something from me now” then yes, I’d 100% agree that that is pushy… maybe even a little creepy.

But… that’s not what you’re doing here my friend

When your marketing is constructed in such a way that you have already taken the time to connect with your clients, to show them you see them and understand their problems.  if you stand there, as the guide, and show them what’s possible and they are keen to proceed… then… they NEED you to ask them to buy now.  They need to know that you think this is a great idea. They need permission to move into their new best life.

Your Call to Action will work most effectively, when it’s part of a bigger picture.  Part of a well crafter brand script.

Can you be Brave enough to ask for the sale?

Yor just a person, standing next to a person, asking them to buy from you….

Just like Love actually… this can feel like a pretty vulnerable thing to do.

What if, despite all the work you’ve done so far,  they say “no”?!

What will that mean for you?

This is the moment when you put yourself out there, hoping your clients are ready to take the next step with you. This is where many business owners hesitate, fearing rejection or feeling too exposed.

But here’s the truth: Your clients have a problem that you can solve.  YOU are the person who can help them.  YOU need to ask them if they’re in.

A Call to Action is not a negotiable thing.  It’s essential.

So, in episode 10 of the Inner Business Podcast with Selena Woodward, I’m going to share some tips with you that might help this block slide to the side.
